The Abaco Agricultural Co-operative Society was formed in 1989. Members of the Society have planted various crops over the years but are well known for their bananas, onions, corn and tomatoes. Currently the Society has lease on fifty acres of land in High Banks with ten acres in sod production. The society has recently planted 23 acres of onions.
The Society is also well known for its Saint Augustine grass (sod).
